As part of the National Prayer Weekend we will be having a Prayer Walk around the parish. This is on Saturday 30th September. We start at the church at 9.00am. During Lent we will be looking at the meaning of the Communion service. Why is it important? What is it all about? How did it develop? As well as a sermon series there will be weekly small groups meeting around the area. You can sign up to a group in church. We will be using materials called ‘Eat, pray, share’ produced by CWR. This term we will be looking at the difference that Jesus can make in our lives. We will explore questions like: who am I? where do I belong? what am I living for?
We are using the TRANSFORMED LIFE course, which is based on Ephesians 1-3. The materials will include Sunday sermons, fortnightly small groups, and a book with daily readings. To find out more please look HERE.

What’s more impressive though is that he built this business without sacrificing his Christian values and often flying in the face of perceived retail wisdom…

Domestic Abuse affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men. It is a significant issue linked to child protection. On Monday 1st February at 7.00pm there will be a FREE WORKSHOP led by an experienced speaker to help us understand the issues, know where to get help and find out how to support those involved. Come and celebrate on November 29th. In Beacon Hill Road there will be a market from 3.00pm. At 4.30pm the youngest member of the school will switch on the village Christmas lights. We will be joined by the Mayor, and we will have carol singing accompanied by Haslemere Town Band. Then you can enjoy mulled wine and mince pies in the school hall. Everyone welcome!
